• Turning Head Model N

The SIFCO Process Model N Turning Head will provide years of trouble-free service as a light to medium duty rotating device. The turning head consists of a heavy-duty steel base, supporting a speed control and gear motor assembly with a drive bearing-mounted shaft, grounding bar and chuck. A power takeoff on the motor can be used to drive a Rotary Tool Handle or grinding accessory. Attaching the ROTO-FLO Flexible Shaft to the chuck allows to plate a vide range of ID surfaces. The right angle gearbox is coupled to a shaft supported by two sealed, heavy-duty, self-aligning pillow block type bearings. These bearings are equipped with convenient grease fittings to aid in the maintenance of the unit. A quality steel chuck is attached to a stainless steel back plate mounted on the shaft. This 3 jaw chuck comes complete with internal and external jaws, and a chuck wrench.

  • Traversing Arm

The SIFCO Process Traversing Arm provides mechanical oscillation or traversing motion for an otherwise manually-moved plating handle. Use of the SIFCO Process Traversing Arm eliminates the need to have an operator move a plating tool, decreasing operator fatigue and freeing him or her to perform other tasks. The mechanical motion control supplied by the Traversing Arm will improve the efficiency of any plating or anodizing operation, and will help to decrease plating cycle time, maximize deposit quality and improve uniformity. The Traversing Arm will accommodate all standard SIFCO Process plating tool handles, providing motion to virtually any size anode which can be attached to the plating tool handle. Speed control and effective length of movement are both easily adjustable for this unit.

  • 57 Liter Unit Tank Silver Plater

The SIFCO Process Tank Silver Platers are primarily intended for silver plating steam valve seal rings, but they may also be used to silver plate other parts. Both tanks are made from chemical-resistant polypropylene. All other components are made of plastic, stainless steel, or plastic coated steel to minimize corrosion problems. The 57 liter unit also includes a pump to circulate solution and a 254 mm (10 in.) cartridge filter system.

    (3)

The SIFCO Process Variable Speed ID Plater consists of a variable speed drive unit attached to a non-rotating, insulated, corrosion-resistant polypropylene base and flow chamber assembly. The flow chamber contains a high-quality mechanical solution seal which is made from corrosion-resistant stainless steel, graphite and ceramic. A hollow stainless steel shaft is used to rotate the plating tools, with a copper-graphite brush contact to conduct plating current up to 150 amp. Plating solution is conveyed to the tools with vinyl tubing and nylon fittings. The plating anodes are secured to the shaft by using the hub and one of the three sets of included titanium leaf springs. Twenty four stainless steel mounting screws are provided to mount the anode to the spring arms. Optionally, small-sized anodes may be secured by using an IDP Adapter (not included) to rotate tools such as the SIFCO ID Series anodes. A custom hub assembly or extension can be used to plate larger bore sizes.
